I think that sometimes teachers create writing assignments just for students to hand in for their own grading, but they seem to forget that part of the writing process is the publication stage. Students should be able to share their writing with others whether it be on a Wiki or voice thread like this one. I think the voice thread would be great to use in a classroom because students have to be creative when reading their story. I feel it also makes students work harder, and almost forces them to take their time when writing for an assignment like this because they know it will be shared with their classmates. Using the voice thread was very simple, but some students may have a hard time, so if I were to use this in my classroom I would set some time aside to go to the lab and help students create this voice thread. Overall the use of any technology in a classroom is extremely beneficial and students really enjoy using it. I really enjoyed this voice thread and hope to use it in my classroom someday.
